Smarch Fun

We have had some typical good and bad weather this March. Our warm afternoon of swinging was followed by a huge snowstorm that dumped about 8 inches of snow in just one day. And that was the beginning of Spring Break in State College! Lucky for me Grammie Laurie and Grandpa Paul came down to play with Jeffrey. Jeffrey had a great time playing outside with Grandpa in all the snow, they shoveled the sidewalk together and built forts.

Swinging fun in early March.

Two days later, we had tons of snow. This is Jeffrey's snow fort courtesy of Mike's hard work shovelling the driveway.

We got a new stroller so that we can go for more walks in the neighborhood. It fits both kids, and Jeffrey really likes to ride on the back although the plan was for him to sit when he was exhausted from too much walking. (Ha!) It is also a good place for Meredith to hang out and eat snacks while Jeffrey plays outside.

Mike test drives the new 'kid wagon'.

I made Jeffrey a special St. Patrick's day lunch. It had green and cheddar goldfish and a shamrock made out of cheese. I also included a 'squeezy' pack of applesauce that was in a green container. It is hard to find green things to include in a kids lunch, especially when they don't seem to like vegetables! Jeffrey had a great time looking for leprechauns at school. The kids didn't find any, but they did find some leprechaun 'gold' chocolate coins hidden in their classroom. Jeffrey seemed pretty disappointed that he didn't actually get to see any leprechauns, but I am sure the big shamrock cookie I gave him for dessert helped cheer him up. Maybe we will see some next year!

'Sooooo Big!' Meredith can sit up on her own now!
